Her love and appreciation for animals began when she started showing horses at age five. By age 15, she was working at her family's veterinary practice and continues there during vacation periods throughout her college years. She is the 12th Veterinarian in her family. Her grandfather, Dr. Edwin Smith was Smokey Bear's veterinarian when he was injured from a forest fire.

Dr. Pratt has grown to appreciate the special human-animal bond that exists between pets and their owners. This appreciation is what enables her to provide the best medicine possible, maintaining that healthy bond.

She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has special interests in surgery and internal medicine. In her free time, she's fishing, horseback riding, camping or spending time with her family. Her children, Colton age 3 and Aspen age 1, keep her very busy on her days off as a doctor. She also loves to spend time with her chocolate lab, Willie, and her cat Callie.
