Dr. Pratt grew up in New Mexico. She obtained her doctorate degree at Colorado State University in May 2000. A year after graduation, she relocated to Austin with her husband Travis.

Her love and appreciation for animals began when she started showing horses at age five. By age 15, she was working at her family’s veterinary practice and continued there during vacation periods throughout her college years. She is the 12th veterinarian in her family.

Dr. Pratt has grown to appreciate the special human-animal bond that exists between pets and their owners. This appreciation is what enables her to provide the best medicine possible, maintaining that healthy bond.

She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has special interests in surgery and internal medicine. In her free time, she’s either fishing, horseback riding, camping or spending time with her family. She also loves to spend time with her chocolate lab, Willie, and her 2 cats, Callie and Hobbes.
