We bring different perspectives to the table, but we’re united by a love for purposeful work, compassionate care, and a real connection to our clients and patients.


Brenda is the Office Manager who constantly supports the clinic’s development, growth, and vigor. She began her career at Brushy Creek as a receptionist in 1998 when it was a small practice with only three staff members, and quickly transitioned into the heart and soul of the clinic as the Office Manager. 

Brenda has now been a dedicated member of Brushy Creek for almost 28 years. She brings a strong love of organization and animals to her role, helping keep the practice running smoothly while also supporting and educating clients as they care for their pets. Though much of her work happens behind the scenes, her impact is felt throughout the clinic.

Brenda has been married to her husband Mark for over forty years, and together they have three children and four cherished grandchildren. She also has a mule, four cats, and two dogs. Outside of work, Brenda enjoys gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, watching classic movies and visiting the beach whenever she can. She deeply treasures the relationships she has built over the years at Brushy Creek.

Brenda Roughton


Cheryl is the Lead Veterinary Technician and is passionate about helping patients feel calm, safe and secure during their visits. She began her journey in 1998 as a receptionist at Brushy Creek and quickly stepped into a technician assistant role, eager to work hands-on with animals. Cheryl quickly mastered the role of a technician, and then stepped into the well earned role of Lead Technician.  

Cheryl has now been a dedicated member of Brushy Creek for over 26 years. She enjoys mentoring and teaching new technicians and interns, passing on the clinic’s family-oriented culture and care focused approach. Her calm nature and attention to detail helps each and every patient feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Cheryl is married to her husband, Kevin, and has one daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys growing orchids in her greenhouse and enjoying a quiet moment with a warm cup of coffee on her front porch in the country. Cheryl has a cat, a dog, and a dwarf bunny. She looks forward to serving patients and clients for many years to come.

Maria is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who combines strong technical skills with compassion, treating every patient as if they were her own. She became a Nationally Certified Veterinary Technician in 1993 at St. Petersburg College before beginning her career at a small animal practice in Florida.

Maria joined Brushy Creek Veterinary Clinic in 1998, drawn to its small, non-corporate environment and focus on quality animal care. She is passionate about educating clients every step of the way, while providing compassionate care and supporting pets and their families through every stage of life. 

Maria is married to her husband John, and has three children. She has two dogs and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys cherished time with her family, dancing while cooking or cleaning, evening walks, gardening, crafting, and pet snuggles. She always strives to ensure every question is answered and every detail is discussed.

Maria Crowder, LVT


Braedyn is a Veterinary Technician who is passionate about stewardship and believes every patient deserves the same quality of care, including the difficult ones. She began her journey as a kennel assistant at a small animal clinic in California before effectively training to be a veterinary technician.

She joined Brushy Creek in 2023, drawn to the private practice setting and its focus on individualized and affordable care. Her goal is for every patient to leave the clinic healthier and happier than when they arrived. Braedyn quickly develops a connection with each patient she cares for, and will often be accused of wanting to kidnap any pet in need of extra care. 

Braedyn is married to her husband Caleb, and outside of work enjoys spending time with her cat Terry (when he allows it). She also enjoys reading, chatting with friends across the globe and catching up on sleep. Her biggest motivation at work each day is a happy tail wag or friendly purr.

Marianna is a Veterinary Technician and strong advocate for her patients. She has been pursuing veterinary medicine since high school and has worked solely within the private practice setting. Marianna is a first-generation college graduate from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Marianna joined Brushy Creek in 2025, drawn to the clinic’s values and commitment to high-quality patient care. She strives to help patients and clients feel at ease while continually growing her skills and knowledge as a veterinary technician. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable and welcoming experience for both pets and their owners.

Outside of work, Marianna enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Joe and her cat. She loves discovering new shows to binge watch at home, going to the movies,  spending time outdoors and relaxing by the water. She is motivated by her love for her patients and is committed to her pursuit of vet med. 

Marianna Lambert


Mandy is a Client Care Specialist who enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She began her veterinary career in 2022 as a veterinary assistant but quickly discovered her passion for the front desk, where she excels at building meaningful connections with clients and their pets. 

Mandy joined Brushy Creek in 2025, drawn to the clinic’s values, private ownership and strong team of long-tenured staff. She is especially passionate about the clinic’s mission and works one-on-one with clients daily, advocating for them with empathy and patience. She is detailed, organized, and concise, communicating each client's needs to the rest of the team for thorough care of each patient. 

Outside of work, Mandy enjoys spending time with her fiance playing video games, drinking coffee and watching movies. Mandy is also inspired daily by the strong connection with her cat, Jinx. Through thoughtful care, she hopes to foster the same connection between each client and their pet that walks through our door.

Tera is a Client Care Specialist who focuses on building strong relationships with families so she can better understand their needs and advocate for the well-being of their pets. She has been serving as a patient advocate for almost a decade, and prides herself in having deep perspective and appreciation for all people and patients.

She joined Brushy Creek in 2024 and was drawn to its family-centered culture, shared love for helping animals and commitment to educating clients so their pets can live happier, healthier lives. Tera finds great purpose in being a source of hope and healing for both the families and creatures the clinic serves.

Outside of work, Tera enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband Charles, her two dogs and her cat. She enjoys her strong faith community through church and small group bible studies, and sharing in fellowship events. Tera works hard each day to hear each and every client’s request and meet each and every patient’s needs.
